Our Latest Explorations

In most organisations, a tiny handful of people carry the enormous weight of keeping the whole thing afloat. In small teams and startups, it usually falls squarely on the founder: bringing in income, securing funding, making sure there’s enough cash to pay everyone. Is that fair? Is it sustainable?

At Mission Equality, we’re testing a radical shift: What if almost everyone played a meaningful role in generating the income to pay their own wages? Whether through funding bids, product sales, partnerships or other means, we believe financial responsibility - and agency - can be shared more widely.

Will it work for every organisation? Probably not. Could it work for us and be a model for others? We think so.

🎙️ I talk more about it in the latest “Big Idea; Short Snapshot” episode of the Equal Futures podcast.

Things You Might Find Useful

On the Ground: Building the First Mission Equality Learning Hub…

We’ve been pouring energy into a vital piece of our long-term vision: The first in-person learning hub for young people.

This isn’t just a side project. It’s the anchor of everything we’re building and a living, breathing example of how education can look when it centres autonomy, equality and real-world relevance.

📖 Read more about why this matters so much to us.
🎥 Take a look at the hub (yes, those are our kids in the video!).

Tools for Values-Led Organisations That Want to Walk Their Talk…

We’ve also been busy building practical tools for organisations who are serious about aligning their bold visions with day-to-day reality. It’s easy to talk about values, it’s much harder to live them especially if you’re trying to change systems from within, not just survive in them.

To help, we’ve developed: 🛠️ The Values-Aligned Culture Diagnostic Tool - to surface the real gaps and misalignments before they derail your mission. Check it out here.

👀 And here’s a sneak peek mention of our soon-to-launch project, ethixly, a prototype platform for measuring, surfacing and strengthening organisational values in action. (Think Glassdoor, but focused on founders and startups).

Until next time,
